Form of Light

The visible and the yet-to-be-formed.

Inner and outer, stillness and heat, consciousness and the body.

This series explores the process through which subtle fluctuations arising in these thresholds gradually emerge as a single “form.”

Here, “light” does not refer simply to brightness that illuminates something. It refers to the moment when a sensation or presence that was previously imperceptible takes on a contour and becomes perceptible as an existence. This phenomenon itself is understood as “light.”

Working primarily with acrylic, the paintings incorporate layers and bleeds of color, drips, and physical gestures, as well as undulations and material presence within the background itself. Moving between the act of painting and the transformation of the surface, the series explores the moment when sensation rises to the surface and takes form.

Flowers may appear as presences that temporarily emerge from within these fluctuations.

They are neither completed answers nor fixed forms, but something that remains within the process of change while being unmistakably present. Each work seeks to capture a fleeting equilibrium arising between the visible and the invisible, chance and intention.

光のかたち

目に見えるものと、まだ形を持たないもの。

内側と外側、静けさと熱、意識と身体。

そのあわいに生じる微細な揺らぎが、ひとつの「かたち」として立ち現れていく過程を探るシリーズ。

ここでいう「光」は、何かを照らし出す明るさだけを指すものではない。不可視だった感覚や気配が、ある瞬間に輪郭を持ち、存在として知覚されること。その現象そのものを「光」として捉えている。

アクリルを用いた制作では、色の重なりやにじみ、ドリップ、身体的なストロークに加え、背景そのもののうねりや物質感を画面に取り込む。描くことと画面そのものが変化することを行き来しながら、感覚が表層へと立ち上がる瞬間を探っていく。

花のモチーフは、そうした揺らぎの中から一時的に姿を現す存在として現れることがある。

それは完成された答えや固定された形ではなく、変化のただ中にありながら、確かにそこに在るもの。可視と不可視、偶然と意志のあわいに生まれる、一瞬の均衡を捉える試みである。
